Medical Coding at Antonelli College Online

October 10th, 2011

Until recently, I never really thought much about having a career. When I graduated from high school, I went full-time at my job at the supermarket, and I stayed there until my first son was born. Now, with my second baby out of diapers and the first starting kindergarten, I’m starting to to think about what things will be like once both kids are in school. What am I going to do with myself all day once the kids don’t need me every minute? I’m looking for new challenges, and some extra cash in the household budget sure would be nice. A friend of mine told me about the medical coding program she just finished at Antonelli College Online. She did the program all online, which was great. She did it on her own schedule, while the kids were in school or after they went to bed at night. Its really detail-oriented work, and there’s a lot to learn and a lot to keep track of, which sounds great to me. I may be a stay-at-home mom, but I’m a smart person, and I don’t want work that’s so easy it’ll just be boring. I think I’m going to look into it!

Some Great Charity Work Changes You

October 2nd, 2011

I never thought that Brendan was a particularly “bad” person, he was just selfish, for lack of a more specific term. When we went to school, he was always trying to get that last piece of pizza, or the best seat on the bus. These were little things, and on rare occasion, a larger issue would stem. But it was never anything that made me judge him particularly harshly. Anyway, I just found out that he’s working for an organization that specializes in gathering charity gifts from various people, and I think that this is a beautiful turnaround for him. I’ve got a close friend that’s close with Brendan, and the friend, Chloe, says that charity work has completely changed his life. Once he started to see the positive effect that he could have on people, he stopped thinking so much about himself, I imagine. I think that I get a very fulfilled feeling as well when I help people out, so that line of work might be right up my alley.

Become a Certified Medical Assistant with Confidence

September 14th, 2011

There is no such thing as a free lunch. We have all heard this before. This is what a certified medical assistant had to say to me. I will admit to trying to take the easy way out. I failed miserably as I wanted to bypass the certification exam. This is why my application for the job was summarily rejected. My classmate sailed through the exam and landed the first job she applied for. Make no mistake, I am proud of her. But, I couldn’t help feeling envious too as she seemed to find the examination so easy and she did not sweat over the interview either. I think it is to do with the attitude. She is brimming with positivity and confidence whereas I am full of doubt and am afraid of failure that I don’t even try anything anymore. I must get rid of this crippling problem and take a page out of her book.

Increases in the Family Nurse Practitioner Salary

September 2nd, 2011

Previously when a person was ill they would go to their family physician and have a diagnosis, prescription and ongoing monitoring if necessary. The reality is that this is no longer a viable option there the family nurse practitioner salary was increased to help augment this need.

A nurse practitioner is well versed on the majority of chronic illnesses a person can have and will only delegate a patient to a physician if they are not able to address the condition. Why the nurse practitioner is so vital to our current health care system has to do with simple numbers.

The number of patients who have chronic ailments has risen steadily, this is no surprise as our population ages. What is the cause for concern is the number of physicians that are retiring is far greater than the new physicians coming to work. This causes bottlenecks in health care that the nurse practitioner is able to help out with.
