My husband just mended his own pants. He is terrible on belt loops, he is always pulling on them and just yanking his belt out. Most of his jeans have at least one loop that is torn and not functioning. While I was skeptical about my new machines ability to mend these torn loops the sewing machine reviews I read said my machine was capable of sewing even leather so I said we would give it a try.
With my husband watching we set up the machine. He was surprised it set up so easily. Bobbins and threading a machine seem to intimidate the big guy. I pinned the loop in place gave it a once over and pulled the pin out and made several more passes back and for over the loop and it was done. Easy peasy. Now my husband just gets out the machine and fixes his loops on his own. Now if I can only get him to pick up his socks and stop emptying the contents of his pockets on my dryer.
